1. Anonymized Usage Identifier
Zipladin generates a random, anonymized identifier on first use of the app.
This identifier is stored securely on the device using the iOS Keychain and does not
contain any personally identifiable information.
Purpose
- Enforce advertised monthly upload limits
- Prevent abuse of the temporary cloud upload feature
Not Used For
- User tracking across apps or services
- Advertising or marketing purposes
- Analytics, profiling, or behavioral monitoring
- Linking to a real-world identity
- Sharing with third parties
Persistence
Due to iOS Keychain behavior, this identifier may persist across app reinstalls on the same device.
This persistence is only to ensure fair enforcement of advertised monthly upload limits and control operational costs.
Data Sharing
- The anonymized identifier is never shared with third parties
- It is used only within Zipladin’s systems to verify usage limits
- It is not combined with any personally identifiable information
2. Account and Account Deletion
In Zipladin, a user account is represented solely by the anonymized identifier. Uploads and usage data are linked to this identifier in our server database. No personal information is stored or associated with this identifier.
When a user chooses Delete Account, Zipladin permanently deletes:
- All locally stored app data
- Any temporary cloud uploads associated with the identifier
- Any server-side data directly linked to the identifier
The following is retained solely to enforce advertised monthly upload limits and prevent abuse:
- The anonymized usage identifier stored on the device. It does not contain personal information and is not used to track or identify the user outside of enforcing advertised upload limits.
- Server-side records of monthly usage linked to the anonymized identifier. These records are strictly limited to usage counts and never contain personal information. They are not used for tracking, analytics, advertising, or shared with third parties.
3. Apple ID Sign-In
Sign-In
Zipladin allows users to sign in and out with their Apple ID solely to enable the upload feature. This sign-in is not used for tracking, advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.
- Any personally identifiable information associated with the Apple ID is deleted from the local device upon signing out.
- These personal details are never transmitted to Zipladin servers and are used only locally to authenticate the upload feature.
- The Apple ID is not linked to uploads or the anonymized usage identifier.
- No personal information is retained beyond what is required for this functionality.
Sign-Out
- Signing out disables uploads and hides the monthly usage history
- It does not delete the anonymized identifier or aggregated monthly usage data
4. Archive Storage and Retention
- Archives are created and uploaded to the temporary cloud only for transfer and delivery.
- Stored temporarily and removed within 7 days.
- After removal, archives cannot be recovered.
- Zipladin does not access, view, or analyze your archives.
5. Your Privacy
- No personally identifiable information is required to use the app
- No advertising identifiers (such as IDFA or UDID) are used
- No user data is sold or shared
- Temporary cloud uploads are automatically deleted after seven (7) days
6. Sharing of Information
- Service Providers: For cloud hosting or storage needed to provide the app
- Legal Reasons: To comply with laws or legal requests
- To Protect Rights: Prevent misuse, abuse, or security threats
7. Data Security
We follow standard industry practices to protect all data, including anonymized identifiers and temporary cloud uploads. However, no system is completely secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
